I recently did a lot of research on cord blood banks to help make my own decision about whether to use a private cord blood bank.  Although I hope never to need it, I feel comfortable knowing that it will be available in case it is ever needed for medical treatments.

There are currently many diseases and disorders that cord blood stem cell can be used to treat.  Additionally, there will probably be more treatments and cures developed in the future.
